I’m so glad you’re here
My road to photography was in the works for longer than I even realized. As a young girl, I would trail behind my brother’s footsteps and be in awe of his film creations. The process of developing film, soaking it in water, waiting for it to dry, the darkroom, it was all so fascinating to me. He would work on all sorts of techniques and when studying strobe lights, I was lucky enough to be the little tiny muse. Even then I knew how important it was, the nostalgia of it all. In high school I took photography courses and in college I studied film, always staying as close to it as possible while learning other forms of art. Painting, acting, design and even opening my own shop. As with all small businesses, I wore many hats, my favorite one by far was the self-titled Product Photographer for my business. As I continued to further my knowledge and build my gear, it wasn’t long before I decided I would work towards getting people in front of my lense. My first muse, became my daughter. She was the inspiration, the drive and the push that I needed to further my career. Fast forward to now, and she is fully ready and prepared to join me as my second shooter with her little wooden camera.
When you meet me, saying my full name - Luisana, will be daunting, so Lulu will do. I was born in Venezuela, raised in the Midwest and settled down in Southern California. As far as what gives my life every ounce of PURPOSE it would have to be the irreplaceable humans that are in it. Probably every conversation I have leads to them, so be ready!
I’m a mama of three whole humans that know the sound of my HEART from the inside and a wife to my best friend, the one I can laugh with (or at), the one who lets me be myself, who encourages my CREATIVITY, betters me as person and couldn’t live without. These are just the closest ones in proximity; I truly believe it’s the people in our lives who are reflections of OUR STORY.
A story that I love to capture through photography for others; for you. They don’t have to be perfect, they just have to be real. I want you to look back and remember how it felt, the NOSTALGIA of it all. I’ll have you close your eyes and remember the day it all came together. The one to cry with you when you see each other walk down the aisle. The one who watches your family grow. I capture these MOMENTS through my lense, but I treasure them even more as a friend.
I’ve been there for so many of these life experiences, so I understand how important it is to FREEZE TIME. I love to do what I do and I’m inspired by every story you tell.

Once you’ve filled out my contact form, I send over my pricing guide. Then I always like to suggest the three of us jump on a phone call to get to know each other and so I can answer any questions you two might have.

For weddings, I share your full gallery within 6 to 8 weeks.
For sessions, you can expect a gallery within 2 to 3 weeks.

Yes definitely! I send sneak peeks form your big day within a week from your wedding.

Of course! My job is to help you guys feel comfortable in front of the camera and guide you through a session so you’re never just standing around awkwardly. A session with me always involves good music, lots of laughter, and your very own third wheel (that would be me!).
